Community Guidelines

The Deal
Love On Deck exists to help real people make real connections. These guidelines exist to keep it that way. We're building something different here—no algorithms playing games with your love life, no agendas, no dark patterns, no enshittification, no bullshit. In return, we ask you to be a decent human being.
Break these rules and you're out. No appeals committee. No second chances for the serious stuff.
1. Be Real
Your deck must be you.
- Use recent photos that actually look like you
- Don't catfish. Don't use someone else's photos. Don't use heavily filtered or AI-generated images that misrepresent your appearance
- Be honest about your demographic info: age, location, looking for, etc.
- If you're in a relationship and looking for something specific (ENM, poly, etc.), say so clearly
Why this matters:
Everyone here is looking for genuine connection. Starting with deception wastes everyone's time and erodes trust in the platform.
And frankly, pretending to be someone or something you're not is going to lead you to suboptimal results especially given the amount of control our platform allows you to have over who can even see that you exist.
The more demographic information you provide, the better our ViSi filtering system works to ensure you only see people that meet all of your preferences.
Our focus is on quality over quantity, so we would prefer to show you a few potentially amazing partners rather than hide them in thousands of other people that don't meet your basic boundaries, preferences, and dealbreakers.
2. Don't Be A Creep
This should be obvious, but apparently it needs to be said:
Harassment gets you banned. Immediately. No warnings.
- Don't send unsolicited explicit content
- Don't continue messaging someone who has asked you to stop
- Don't stalk, threaten, or intimidate anyone
- Don't make sexual comments or requests in your opening message
- Don't use the platform to find victims for any kind of abuse
- Don't give incorrect demographic info to try to game the filtering system
If someone unmatches you, let it go. They don't owe you an explanation. Attempting to contact them through other means after being unmatched is stalking behavior and we will take steps to hold offenders accountable for such actions.
3. Respect Boundaries
No means no. Silence also means no.
- Respect people's stated boundaries and preferences
- Don't pressure anyone for personal information (phone number, address, social media)
- Don't pressure anyone to meet in person before they're ready
- Understand that people are allowed to change their minds
The Vilter system exists for a reason. If someone has set their visibility filters to exclude you, respect that. Trying to circumvent filters through fake profiles, false demographic info, or other methods will get you permanently banned.
4. Keep It Legal
Don't use Love On Deck for anything illegal.
This includes but is not limited to:
- Soliciting or offering prostitution or escort services
- Buying, selling, or promoting illegal drugs
- Fraud, scams, or financial schemes
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Any activity involving minors
We report illegal activity to law enforcement. We will cooperate fully with any investigation.
5. No Hate
We don't tolerate hate speech.
- No slurs, derogatory language, or dehumanizing content targeting any group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
Your Silters and Vilters are your business. You're free to set whatever preferences you want for who you see and who can see you. But using the platform to target people for harassment based on their identity is not acceptable.
6. No Spam or Commercial Activity
Love On Deck is for dating, not marketing.
- No recruiting for MLMs, investment schemes, or "opportunities"
- No copy-paste mass messaging
- No bots or automated accounts
Your work is part of who you are. Sharing what you do for a living, your passions, or even your side hustle in your deck is fine—that's authentic self-presentation. Just don't use the platform to solicit customers, recruit downlines, or spam other Lovers with promotional messages.
7. Protect Your Safety
We care about your safety, but we can't be everywhere.
Tips for staying safe:
- Don't share financial information with matches
- Be cautious about sharing your home address, workplace, or other identifying information early on
- Meet first dates in public places
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting
- Trust your instincts—if something feels off, it probably is
We don't do background checks. We verify age through self-reported birthdate, but we cannot verify criminal history, relationship status, or other claims people make. Use your judgment.
8. Report Bad Behavior
If you see something, say something.
Use the in-app reporting feature or email support@ondeck.id to report:
- Fake or suspicious profiles
- Harassment or threatening behavior
- Underage users
- Scams or fraud attempts
- Any violation of these guidelines
We review every report. Serious violations result in immediate account termination. We may not be able to tell you the outcome of your report for privacy reasons, but we take every report seriously.
9. What Happens When You Break The Rules
Consequences depend on the severity:
Immediate permanent ban (no warnings):
- Sexual harassment or assault
- Threats of violence
- Stalking behavior
- Any inappropriate or illegal content involving minors
- Fraud or scams
- Hate speech
- Multiple fake accounts
Warning, then ban:
- Spam or commercial solicitation
- Minor deception (outdated photos, slightly misrepresented info)
- Rude or inappropriate behavior that doesn't rise to harassment
- Other policy violations
We reserve the right to ban anyone at any time if we believe they pose a risk to other users or the platform, even if they haven't technically violated a specific rule.
10. Appeals
For most bans, there is no appeal.
If you believe your account was banned in error (mistaken identity, hacked account, etc.), you may contact legal@ondeck.id with:
- Your account email
- A brief explanation of why you believe the ban was an error
- Any supporting evidence
We will review your appeal, but we are not obligated to respond or reinstate your account. Our decision is final.
11. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these guidelines as our community grows and evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of On Deck, Love On Deck (and any other products or services we offer) after changes take effect means you accept the updated guidelines.
The Bottom Line
On Deck is what we make it together. We're building a community where people can be themselves, set their own boundaries, and find meaningful connections without algorithms or manipulation getting in the way.
That only works if everyone plays fair.
Be real. Be respectful. Don't be a creep.
Welcome to the future of human connection.
